Pu Erh Emperor Beeng Cha 2018 is a ripe (Shu) Pu Erh tea from Yunnan's famous tea plantations, pressed into a traditional 100-gram bag. Been Cha-cake. Harvested in the spring of 2018 from tender leaves and buds, this tea offers a harmonious and balanced taste experience.

The brew opens with soft earthy notes, deepened by warm woodiness and rounded off with subtle hints of fruit. The result is a full-bodied yet smooth cup, clear in its reddish-brown colour and without harshness, with every sip carrying traces of the rich Yunnan soil.

Like all Pu Erh teas, Emperor Beeng Cha can continue to mature over time, allowing for further depth of flavour. However, even today it shows the round and complex character that characterizes a well-made Shu Pu Erh.

For this tea, we suggest you try the traditional Chinese Gong Fu style of brewing your tea. The idea behind this technique is to use larger proportions of tea leaves to water and very short brewing times. By using more tea leaves and having very short brewing, you only succeed in extracting parts of the entire flavor spectrum. The tea can then be enjoyed in so-called "sections", which gives a much more nuanced experience. Because the flavor develops gradually and there are many more leaves, this contributes to a significantly more intense flavor than in Western-style brewing.
