    White Tea

White teas (Bai cha) are somewhat mythical and elusive in their definition. Like so many teas, it originates from the Fujian province of China and the original method is the most gentle of all tea processes. Basically, the tea leaves are just harvested and dried. They have not been heated or rolled like typical green teas. This is exactly what sets them apart from other types of tea and creates the purest and most natural tea flavor you can find in the world of tea. Common to the white teas is a certain sweetness.

One can divide the white teas into two types that differ a lot from each other: those that only consist of buds, silver needles, and those that also consist of some leaves. The difference is big in character, color and not least in price.
