This magnificent plantation produces both first and second flush teas of outstanding quality. The heavenly aroma of this tea lingers long in the mouth. It has a beautiful appearance with many silver tips giving a fresh, floral spring flavour with a spicy, sweet body and aroma. Brews to a beautiful bright orange.
For this tea we suggest trying the Western-style of brewing. The idea behind it is to use much less leaf and much more water while brewing-times are much longer to extract as much of the flavor as possible at once.
The taste is well-balanced, rich, strong and aromatically sweet.
Compared with Nuwara Eliya teas, Uva is more full-bodied and colourful – but they still retain much of the elegance.
Relatively light but intensely aromatic, similar to Nuwara Eliya teas, yet rounded with a long, elegant aftertaste.
