Jungpana Tea Estate is located in one of the most difficult terrains in the Darjeeling hills which is connected only through snaking roads which are only accessible by foot. Approximately 350 steep steps and onto the wooden foot bridge across the river Changey Khola, leads you to the garden factory.
This south facing tea estate of the Darjeeling hills is located at a distance of 10 to 12 kilometers south from the town of Kurseong. The elevation of the tea estate ranges roughly between 1000 meters to as high as 1500meters above sea level.
Jungpana is commonly known for its muscatel variety with strong aromatics and a floral finish.
For this tea we suggest trying the Western-style of brewing. The idea behind it is to use much less leaf and much more water while brewing-times are much longer to extract as much of the flavor as possible at once.
The cool climate, and the winds which sweep across from the Indian Ocean give this tea a unique, refreshing flavour.
This high-quality tea has finely shaped, matte-green leaves, and gives a golden drink with a fresh, floral flavour.
Excellently suited as a fine breakfast tea, with or without milk.
